stream-scaling

The popular and authoratative stream memory benchmarking project is the industry standard way to measure total memory bandwidth available to a system.  But today's multi-core systems increasingly find the memory available to any single core is far below this number.  Watching how total bandwidth scales as the active core count increases is vital to measuring the performance of systems with many cores.  stream-scaling aims to collect this information, by providing a simple to use collection tool and a source to share results obtained by it. The code for stream-scaling is currently available from http://github.com/gregs1104/stream-scaling
